Siemens said that the U.S. Department of Commerce has notified the world's three largest chip design software suppliers

- Synopsys, Cadence and Siemens - that the previous requirement that their business in China must apply for government

licenses has now been revoked.

Siemens said it has fully restored Chinese customers' access to its software and technology, and Synopsys and Cadence

said they are gradually restarting related services.

EDA (electronic design automation) is a technology that uses computer-aided design software to complete the entire

process of functional design, synthesis, verification and physical design of ultra-large-scale integrated circuit chips.

It is known as the "mother of chips" and is the core basic tool of the integrated circuit industry. The current global

EDA market is dominated by the three giants Synopsys, Cadence and Siemens EDA, but the recent suspension of EDA

technology supply to China by the United States has accelerated China's localization substitution process.
